This issue has been reported by Nolan (iOS 16.3 B2):

“Apple Music sing turns itself off as soon as I switch it on!”

This appears to be a widespread bug as it’s been also shared on Reddit:

“Sing turns off by itself immediately after switching it on.”

How To Fix Apple Music Sing Vocal Slider Turns Off

Apple will have to fix this unexpected behavior in the next beta. Until then you can try the following to fix it:

1. Reboot iPhone

First, try to restart your iOS device. A fresh boot could clear minor glitches and help Apple Music Sing to work as expected.

Tip: I recommend you to apply the force restart combo.

2. Reinstall Music App

Next, you can try to offload Apple Music and reinstall:
Go for Settings -> General -> iPhone Storage -> Music -> Offload App -> Reinstall App. Does it help?

3. Downgrade To iOS 16.2

If you can’t live without Apple Music Sing, we recommend you to downgrade to the most recent public iOS 16 version and re-enjoy this premium karaoke service.
