How To Fix macOS Ventura Printing Issues

If you’re still experiencing printing problems after macOS 13.1 update you can try the following troubleshooting steps:

1. Turn Off Firewall

If the built-in firewall is turned ON it might interfere with your printing system. You can disable it in:
System Settings -> Network -> Firewall.

2. Reinstall Printer Drivers

Your printer might require fresh drivers updated for macOS Ventura. However, before you install them make sure that you properly delete the old ones first:

  • 1. Go for System Settings -> Printers & Scanners.
  • 2. Click on your [printer name] and use the [-] to remove it.
  • 3. Repeat if there are multiple printers using the same driver until all are removed.
  • 4. Open Finder.
  • 5. In the top-left menu bar, click on Go and select Go to Folder.
  • 6. Type: /Library/Printers/ and click Go.
  • 7. Delete the folder named after your printer. For example, Canon.
  • 8. Finally, install the new macOS Ventura driver from your printer manufacturer’s website.
