Home App Update Not Available 16.2?

home upgrade not showing up anymore
This issue has been reported by Eliza:

“Home upgrade available not showing anymore in updates? I saw it a couple of days ago but I did not have all devices to the latest OS and couldn’t move on. now the update itself is gone!!!”

We could replicate this unexpected behavior as so should everyone else, because Apple has apparently pulled the Home architecture update!

16.2 Home Architecture Bugs And Issues

This confirms that the upgrade has caused more problems than Apple expected including some that have been already reported:

  • 1. HomeKit issues – All accessories are in ‘No Response’ state.
  • 2. Family members can’t access Home and don’t see any accessories
Fix: Restart all Home hubs. | Rename you Home.
  • 3. Unable to View Home error.
  • 4. To be updated. (Contribute in the comments.)
  • Fact: Have you managed to update to the new Home architecture? Are you facing other bugs too? Don’t hesitate to share them in the comments.

How To Downgrade Home Architecture Update

Unfortunately, you’re not able to revert to the old version. However, the fact that Apple has pulled the update means that they’re available of the issues and will most likely release a new update soon to address them.

Home App Update Not Working?

If you failed to update to the new architecture because you still had devices in your Home network that required updates to macOS 13.1, iOS 16.2, iPadOS 16.2 and tvOS 16.2 there’s nothing you should do.

The update hasn’t disappeared because you haven’t updated your remaining devices. It vanished for everyone because Apple pulled it, to prevent users from updating until a better version becomes available!

Have you updated to the new 16.2 Home app before it was pulled? Whats your feedback? Share it in the comments!
