Apple hasn’t tackled this issue yet, so we still aren’t aware if the iPhone XS Max is dealing with an antenna-gate, or if the issue can be corrected with the help of a software update. Until we get an official fix we have identified a solution for the iPhone XS Max low LTE speeds. However, it doesn’t seem to work for all devices. Please use the step-by-step tutorial provided below and let us know if it worked for you. Also please mention your country and the carrier that you’re using.
5 Steps To Fix The iPhone XS Max Cellular Data Connectivity Issue
1. Open the Settings app.
2. Tap on General.
3. Scroll all the way down and open the Reset menu.
4. Tap on Reset Network Settings at the bottom of the screen.
5. Type your Passcode to confirm and reboot your device by turning it OFF and then back ON, using a long Side Button press. Next, attempt to use your Internet connection again and notice if there is any difference.
Tip: You can check your actual iPhone XS Max download and upload speeds with the help of apps like SpeedTest or Fast. Do make sure that you use the same servers for testing before and after applying the fix, to get an accurate reading. Also try to stay in the same location in order to have the same cellular signal reception.
Fact: We’ve managed to almost double or upload speed on the iPhone XS Max cellular data connectivity, by applying this trick. Results are even more spectacular for the LTE download performance which showed an increase from 2.62 MB per second to 94.4 MB per setting after resetting the Mobile Data network settings.
