Same here. Touch still unresponsive on iPhone X with non-oem screen unless touch accommodations enabled
Thanks for confirming. I guess this can be labeled as intended behavior from now on. Apple’s way of making customers repair their devices in authorized service units.
Has anyone updated to iOS 16.1 and still encounter the unresponsive touchscreen issue where your phone screen wont swipe properly? I haven’t updated it yet but would like to know if it’s fixed before updating it.

For iOS 16 battery drain issue we provided some tips here:
Try to update your third-party apps daily from the App Store as developers are still catching up with iOS 16 changes.
Yes, AirDrop is buggy. It works though if you disable Bluetooth and reinable it from Settings.
Touch screen issue still not working with this version (iPhone X). The problem is intermittent, sometimes disappear, but then appears again
Thanks for reporting. You can still revert to iOS 15.7 if you want. More details here:
Updated to 16.0.3 because I was not receiving any notifications. Still not receiving after update. Have reset all settings. Checked notifications on apps. Checked focus and do not disturb settings. I have done all but reset the entire phone. Apps do not send a notification nor do they show a red number showing a message/notification was sent.
Thanks for reporting. Can you also share your iPhone model?
Have you checked Screen Time settings. Are there any Communication Limits that could cause this?
This update nearly caused me a heart-attack. I got ‘Attempting Data Recovery’ shown on the screen for almost 20 minutes. It fixed itself. 14 Pro.
Thanks for reporting. Yes, something must have gone wrong and iOS 16 fixed itself. We’ve dedicated a new article for this issue:
I have the same issue, first time ever since iPhone 3 I encountered this error on my new iPhone 14 Pro.
Thanks for confirming. Sorry to hear this. Has the Data Recovery attempt ended successfully?

messages app notifications still not working despite updating to 16.0.3. Its the same on my iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone XR. Such an essential feature as I don’t know when I get a message!
Thanks for reporting. Is this happening for both iMessage and regular SMS? Are you notified about incoming calls?
I can‘t update my Apps. I have to login to itunes, but the phone say wrong password. (I. changed the password 3 times). Restart the phone doesn’t help. I have an iPhone 13 and iOS 16.0.3
That’s strange. Have tried to replicate but couldn’t. When you open Settings on iPhone are you signed in with your Apple ID?
Am I the only one reporting messages as junk accidentally? I feel the new feature is misleading. Is there a way to undo these reports?
Thanks for highlighting this shortcoming Janelle. No, this is a common problem and Apple will fix it in iOS 16.1. Here are more details:
Also send button not working either this is driving me crazy
Can you provide more details please? Send button not working for which app?
iPhone 13 pro battery health dropped from 96% to 91% since ios 16 update! Is this a bug? 16 seems like a big battery drainer! anyone else noticed the same?
Thank you! This seems to work. Now, I’m going to try it with Apple Car Play. It reminds me of this scene from the IT Crowd. :)
;) wasn’t aware of it. He’s using it wrong. Forgot the ‘Hey computer’ command.
Experiencing spotlight search lag and occasional glitches like keyboard not loading after ios 16.0.3 update. Had no problems with 16.0.2 and 16.0.
Push email not working consistently. Most of the time, mail app needs to opened to get mail and then more often than not, not it times out while “checking for mail” . Push emails and notifications generally not delivered even though phone is correctly set to receive push emails. Apple store says wait for the next software update.
Thanks for reporting Dave. Let us know if iOS 16.1 will fix this for you. It will be released Monday, October 24:
The update to 16.1 did not fix the problem. Still inconsistent pushing of emails and notifications using mail app (sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t). No problems with Outlook for iOS using same email account.
Thanks for the follow up. Are you also using a Mac? Could the new emails be pushed sometimes by macOS?
Thank you for the follow up. No Macs used.
It must be a bug. We’re opening up a separate thread for this to see how many others are affected.
After update prime video & Netflix will no longer play!
Thanks for reporting. Are you using a VPN on your iPhone? If yes, disable it and check if the video streaming picks up.

Hello, I updated to 16.1 on iPhone 11 and notifications including messages and calls (what’s up, telegram, viber, facebook) still don’t work. This problem I noticed after installation 16.0 but it appeared in some time.
I saw release notes and developers fixed issue for iPhone 14, but I don’t understand why they didn’t pay attention on previous models.
Thanks for reporting Dmitry. You seem like an isolated case. Haven been able to replicate or find similar complaints. You double-checked the settings including Focus modes?
Yes, all configuration is set properly. I haven’t seen this issue before.
Have you tried to clean install iOS 16.1 using a computer?
