Last updated on January 19th, 2017 at 01:01 amApple have just released another update for iOS 7. This time we’re talking about a minor upgrade to the 7.1 version. It contains a few important security fixes, as well as improvements to the revolutionary Touch ID finger print recognition software. This means that the great fingerprint sensor is now able to read your prints even more accurately thus reducing the number of errors.
iOS 7.1.1 also fixes a bug that would alter keyboard responsiveness. We particularly noticed this keyboard bug while typing on some 3rd party apps. Indeed the issue is now fixed after upgrading to 7.1.1! For examples I’m using the Betfair Exchange mobile app for hobby betting from time to time and until now, the keyboard was frequently sliding back down when I attempted to enter the stake. Problem has disappeared since updating to 7.1.1. as you can notice in the video available below!
Another fix comes for those that prefer to use Bluetooth keyboard with VoiceOver enabled. However, I’m not using such an accessory and couldn’t test the change. If you do please send us your feedback!
In terms of security iOS 7.1.1 fixes 4 major problems:
– CFNetwork HTTPProtocol
– IOKit Kernel
– Security – Secure Transport (It’s the 2nd SSL fix for iOS 7 after the 7.0.6)
For more details about these security improvements please read more here.
Duration: Under 10 minutes.
Battery: Percentage should be above 50% or your iPhone needs to be connected to a power source.
