macOS Catalina 10.15.7 Supplemental Update Has Security Fixes

Along with the new iOS 14.2 and watchOS 7.1 Apple has released a supplemental update for macOS Catalina 10.15.7. This minor release comes with security fixes including a patch for vulnerabilities the leave the Mac exposed to malicious fonts and applications.

The macOS Catalina 10.15.7 Supplemental Update is available in System Preferences and can be quickly downloaded over-the-air. Click on Software Update, review the release and tap on Update Now.

This is most likely the last update issued for macOS Catalina, as Apple prepares to release macOS 11 Big Sur, next week, right after the November 10, ‘One more thing’ keynote.
