tvOS 13.4.6 Now Downloadable For Recent Apple TV Models

The recent jailbreak tool released by the developers team behind ‘unc0ver’ has caused quite a turmoil for Apple. The vulnerability used by the jailbreak team has forced Apple to release a series of software updates for all their important products. We’ve already informed your about the roll out of iOS 13.5.1, watchOS 6.2.6 and macOS Catalina 10.15.5 Supplemental update. Now it’s time to check the freshly released tvOS 13.4.6.

Apple TV software updated are usually minor ones and are providing under-the-hood fixes that aren’t noticeable unless specified in the update log. tvOS 13.4.6 is as expected a minor update, but this time we know exactly that it’s released to fix a security vulnerability that could allow a third-party application to execute arbitrary code with kernel privileges.

How To Update to tvOS 13.4.6
Before proceeding, be aware that tvOS 13.4.6 is compatible only with the fourth and fifth-generation Apple TV models. If your hardware qualifies you can update over-the-air as follows:
1. Open the Settings app on your Apple TV.
2. Browse for System.
3. Open Software Update.
4. Select Download and Install.
Fact: If you’ve set your Apple TV to update automatically, you don’t need to do anything. However, be aware that automatic updates happen with a delay of a couple of days after the actual release date.
