Getting the Verification Failed Apple ID error when you’re trying to login, verify a device or process a payment? You’re informed that ‘there was an error connecting to the Apple ID server’ or that your request cannot be processed? You’re not alone!
Verification Failed Apple ID Error
This issue has been reported by Tony:
“Getting verification failed and Apple ID password is 100% correct!”
We could replicate the issue too and Apple has confirmed the downtime on their system status page:
As you can see in the above screenshot, the outage is labeled as resolved and is confirmed for a total of 43 minutes.
However, we’re still receiving complaints from users unable to log into their Apple ID hours after the presumed fix.

Verification Failed Errors
Depending what log-in screen you’re using, you should see one of the following prompts:
- 1. Verification Failed. There was an error connecting to the Apple ID server.
- 2. Verification Failed. We cannot process your request. Please try again later.
Tap Cancel and be patient for a couple more hours. Try Again will most likely loop the same error!
Fact: This outage comes only days after the Weather app experienced server issues and stopped providing data to users worldwide on May 9th!
