watchOS 9.0.1 Bugs Fixed, Features, Improvements & Problems
Apple has released watchOS 9.0.1 for Apple Watch Ultra models. This version has build number 20R8380 and is a day-one update for the new premium Apple Watch model. It includes improvements and bug fixes!
watchOS 9.0.1 Update Not Available?
Before you move on, please be aware that this release is exclusive to the new Apple Watch Ultra! This means that any other model compatible with watchOS 9 won’t get the update.
If you’re an early adopter you will be able to find the update on the paired iPhone in the Watch app:
- Browse the My Watch tab and go for General -> Software Update and the update will show up.
- Tap Download and Install and follow the on-screen prompts to update over-the-air as usual.
Tip: For watchOS 9.0.1 to be installed the watch has to be connected to its charger, with battery level over 50%.
watchOS 9.0.1 Bugs Fixed
According to Apple’s release notes this version comes with bug fixes and improvements. There’s a single fix mentioned:
- Distorted audio during phone calls using speakers has been FIXED.
