How To Play Free Fortnite Cup On iPhone And iPad

Fortnite has decided to violate the App Store rules by providing its own payments system for in-game currency (V-Bucks), thus bypassing Apple and their in-app purchase commissions. The Cupertino-based tech giant has immediately reacted and banned Fortnite from the App Store.

The story goes on with Fortnite suing Apple, and Fortnite being on the verge of having its Apple developer account shutdown too, expected for August 24.
Fortnite removed from the App Store means that iOS, iPadOS and macOS users won’t be able to download and install the game anymore. Nevertheless, those that already have it installed can play on.

However, when Epic Games’ dev accounts are shutdown, the company behind Fortnite won’t be able to push any in-game updates for existing users anymore, thus ending the fun for iPhone, iPad and Mac users.

As a farewell to the Apple environment Fortnite has pushed one more add-on that can be played with gamers across all platforms. It’s called the Free Fortnite Cup and its available today, Sunday, August 23.

How To Join Free Fortnite Cup

To play this last joint challenge you need to have Fortnite already installed on your iPhone, iPad or Mac. Just open the app on your iOS and Android device and you’ll be prompted to participate in the Free Fortnite Cup.
The competition takes place today, between 3pm – 7pm local time. You just have to show-up in-game around 3pm (local time) and join the Free Fortnite Cup.

How To Play Free Fortnite Cup

You have to play 12 Games in the Solos mode and accumulate as much points as possible to be ranked towards the top of the leaderboard.
To earn points you have to accomplish the following:
– Stay Alive – Get 1 point for each 3 minutes that you’re alive.
– Eliminate Others – Get 1 point for each player that you eliminate.
– Victory Royale – Grab the Victory Royal and collect 10 points.

Free Fortnite Cup Tiebreaker Rules

Because we’re dealing only with 12 games there are high chances for ties. Here is how the leaderboard will determine higher ranked players in case of ties:
-> Total points scored -> Total Victory Royales -> Average eliminations in the session -> Average placement per match in the session – > Total seconds survived across all matches.
If the above criteria aren’t enough to differentiate between players the good old coin flip will be applied.
