Although it isn’t perhaps a function that you use on your iPhone everyday, the real-time navigation feature comes in very handy whenever you have to drive to a new location and need GPS assist. Your iOS gadget uses its Global Positioning System’s hardware along with the built-in Apple Maps or third party apps like Google Maps and Waze to show your real-time position on the map and provide driving directions towards your selected destination.

Whenever you travel to a location that you never visited before, you have the option to reach it via the fastest route. However, highways and premium roads often include tolls. In most cases, there are other routes available too. They might require additional time but are cost free and often provide coastal views or beautiful mountain landscapes. In this article I show you how to navigate using your iPhone together with the above mentioned apps, to avoid highway fees!
