Apple has silently added a new Apple Music Punk category to its premium music streaming service! This new genre collection has been spotted in Search by a Reddit user. However, the Punk section is not always easy to find, as it might not be featured by default in the Categories section.

  • 1. Open Apple Music and tap on Search, in the bottom menu.
  • 2. Punk should be available in the Browse Categories section.
  • 3. If it’s not featured, use the Search field to look up for ‘punk’ (Use Apple Music as search database, not ‘Your Library’).
  • 4. Tap on Apple Music Punk and the category is displayed on your iPhone, iPad or Mac.
  • 5. Play a Playlist or check out the Best New Songs, New Releases, Punk Radio Stations and more.

Tip: Apple Music Punk category is available for all compatible devices. The new section isn’t iOS 16, iPadOS 16 or macOS Ventura specific!

Apple Music Punk Category Description

This new section informs that the story of punk begins in the early 1960s. It’s been inspired by “the British Invasion bands, especially the Rolling Stones and The Who, garage bands formed accross the U.S. and the UK.”
