Spotify has just added a new feature to its App Store app for iPhone and iPad (and Android too). It’s called “Group Session” and is surly welcomed by people that spend a lot of time under the same roof. The update allows two or more users, from the same location, to share the control of the music that’s being played. Participants can create a real-time community playlist. Every member of the session can add music and alter the order of the upcoming tracks.

More, members of the new Spotify “party sessions” are able to control the music playback. They can pause, play and skip songs. All the changes made by a participant are immediately displayed to all members of the group. However, only the “host” can connect its device to a playback source like TV or third-party speakers. The group can be as big as 100 users, as long as all participants are premium (paid) users and are sharing the same location.
