Always On Display & Battery Life?

Thanks for sharing your opinion Maged. Share your feedback if you upgrade.
A terrible idea – bad for battery life, bad for privacy. This is the first feature I will turn off when I receive my iPhone 14 Pro.

I am wondering if I can have this on a schedule. Specifically at night next to your bed.
Good point. You might be able do to it using Automations in the Shortcuts app.
I’m curious about the Always On display. I have ordered the iPhone 14 Pro to replace my iPhone 6 (iphone 6 only has ios 12) and when then new phone comes I wonder how I will feel about that Always On when I drive and I have my phone in the holder I have. For the past 8 years the display was black while driving, I hope its not distracting. Knowing there is an off feature is nice to know.
Screen will be dimmed in Always-On mode, but it can still be distracting while driving. Would appreciate a follow up after you test it out.
Congrats for your purchase!
I received my iPhone 14 Pro on Friday 16th, and have played with this all weekend. I upgraded from my iPhone 6. WOW this phone is awesome. It is blazing fast, the images are so crisp and clear…. I love it.
Drove from New Hampshire to Vermont on Saturday night and I tested the ‘always on’ display to see if it would bother me as I drive. The phone was in my holder attached to my car vent facing me, and once the phone auto dimmed, it didn’t bother me at all. It is not bring, heck my radio light was brighter then the iPhone. I have not had it long enough to test battery usage for the always on display. Going to Hawaii next month, and plan on taking a ton of pictures, so next up for me is to test and play with the camera settings.
Apple makes some great products!!!
