macOS Big Sur 11.6.7 Update Fixes Mail App Bug
Apple has released macOS Big Sur 11.6.7 with build number 20G630. According to the release notes on the software update screen the update includes a fix for a Mail bug that was preventing the app from opening attachments if the file required to open was already running.

This update is available for download to all Macs and MacBooks that are still running macOS Big Sur or earlier.
It’s available in System Preferences -> Software Update. Click Update Now and follow the usual updating steps.

At the time of writing no update log has been published by Apple. The support document for Apple Security Updates only mentions the macOS 11.6.7 update and confirms the release date for June 9, but mentions that there are no published CVE entries.
Fact: Strange enough the macOS Big Sur updates section on Apple.com, hasn’t been updated yet with any mentions regarding macOS Big Sur 11.6.7.

The 11.6.7 update has messed up my active desktop pictures on my 2013 Macbook Air. On every of my 4 desktop spaces, the background picture either contains a green square, or a square with the content of another image. Switching the desktop pictures does not help., so the installation seemed to have messed up the original picture file. Very scary.
