It’s the first significant redesign of the original Apple Watch that was released more than 3 years ago. The 2018 watchOS flagship comes with a huge display. It seems that the Watch borrows the edge-to-edge display from the iPhone X, as Apple’s designers have apparently managed to increase the screen real estate by 15% for both 38mm and 42mm versions. On top of that the screen density has also increased, giving a better clarity to the Apple Watch!
More screen space, means that additional complications can be fitted within the Watch Faces. The leaked render already shows the Analog template, featuring no less than 8 complications, which is double as many as the current version can host. New mini-widgets have been organized around the time and within the clock-hands! We can safely assume that most of the Watch Faces have been tweaked to take advantage of the additional real estate.
More Watch Faces
watchOS 5 will most likely maintain the habit and provide at least a new Watch Face, to complete the already existing ones! Nevertheless, we will know all the new Apple Watch hardware and software features after the much expected September 12 keynote! Stay tunes.
Tip: Until then make sure to check out the new features coming with iOS 12!
