Believe it or not we already spotted the first photo of an iPhone 14 Pro screen crack on day 1! It’s an iPhone 14 Pro Max unit showing a shattered screen, right on top of the Dynamic Island!

Image is low quality and it’s unclear if the actual iPhone 14 screen is broken or just an overlaying screen protector.
The fact that the hit is right in the middle of the Dynamic Island, hints that the hit was intentional, doesn’t it?
Is iPhone 14 Pro Screen Crack Resistant?
Apple has marked the ceramic shield display on the iPhone 14 series as very durable and crack resistant and there’s no reason to believe the contrary!
The above damage was most likely intentional, resulting from a crack test, or just a fake crack realized with the help of a screen protector.

My screen cracked already and I didn’t even drop it. I had it in landscape mode on a wall trying to do Timelapse of the sunset, something I had done many times before with my iPhone 12. And it tipped over onto the screen, I picked it up to try and place it better and noticed a small chip on the edge of the screen and a crack across the whole screen. It must be a defective screen?

I had my iPhone 14 for 2 weeks. The first drop, it was in a case similar to the ones I’ve used for years. Drop was about 30” high on my kitchen floor and the screen cracked. My first in the history of all my iPhones. I got a replacement through AppleCare. Invested in a Belmont screen protector for the new phone and another Otter Box. I’m also convinced that cases should be replaced but I think these new phones have faulty screens.
Thanks for reporting. We got more reports for lens cracks than screen cracks. You might have just been unlucky.

I’ve had a number of iPhones
5S 6yrs no issues
SE 4yrs no issues
8 4yrs broke the screen on a floor drop in 3yrs
14 2wks in minor knock & screens broken, despite protective case and screen protector
The estimate to fix from apple is £350+
Seriously not happy and next phone upgrade will be a replacement for all my business & personal phones.
Apple brand loyalty goes a long way to support your business models but not happy over costs vs product and now this breakage!
Thanks for the feedback. You must have been unlucky? There aren’t too many reports of easy screen cracks, so this doesn’t look like a widespread issue. Lens cracks for the 14 Pro Max seem more frequent though.
