Dynamic Wallpaper Not Working macOS Ventura

This issue has been reported by James:

“I’m using the default Ventura dynamic wallpaper and it’s stuck in Dark mode all day long! Anyone else?”

I could also notice the glitch on my own MacBook Air M1. macOS Ventura default wallpaper is stuck on Dark mode, although it’s set to be dynamic! Are you encountering the same bug? Share it in the comments!

How To Fix macOS Ventura Dynamic Wallpaper

A Mac restart won’t fix this issue.

The only way I can change the macOS 13 Dark Mode desktop picture is by editing the Wallpaper options and switching from Dynamic to Light:

  • 1. Open System Settings, from Dock or Spotlight Search.
  • 2. Click on Wallpaper, in the left sidebar.
  • 3. Click Dynamic next to, Ventura Graphic and select Light (Still).
  • Fact: The downside of this workaround is that you’ll now be stuck with the Light Mode macOS Ventura desktop picture until you change it again manually to Dark (Still).
