Uber Live Activities Not Working?

Apple has demoed Uber Live Activities on iPhone ever since the unveiling of iOS 16 at WWDC 2022. Surprisingly, the popular ride sharing app has been very slow to update with support for this new iOS 16 feature.

Many users have tried to use Uber Live Activities without success!

The waiting is over though. All that you have to do is update your Uber app in the App Store (direct link) and this much awaited Lock Screen widget will become available.

How To Fix Live Activities Not Working iOS 16

Realtime Uber tracking still not working after updating the app? Here is how to fix it:

• 1. Open Settings on iPhone and scroll to the Uber app.
• 2. Tap it.
• 3. Turn On Live Activities.

Fact: You can turn off Uber notifications and Live Activities will continue to work

Uber Live Activity Dynamic Island

iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max users can also interact with Live Activities on the Home Screen thanks to the Dynamic Island.

When you unlock iPhone and an Uber Live Activity is ongoing, the Dynamic Island expands and a cab icon is displayed in it. Tapping the icon will bring you to the fare tracking screen.

Uber Live Activity Issues?

Problems reported about this feature are tracked here:

• 1. Blue Location Services arrow is blocking the left part of the island with shows the estimated time, causing only the right part of the island to show, which only displays the Uber logo. Reported by Reddit user.
