Apple has seeded iOS 16.6 beta 5 build number 20G5070a for both Developer and Public Beta testers! Check out the new features, changes, fixes as well as ongoing issues and any new bugs reported for this version!
iOS 16.6 Beta 5 Issues
New and ongoing problems are tracked here:
- 1. Pairing the first Matter accessory fails, in a new Home, when the accessory is selected from the nearby accessories list. Mentioned in Apple’s Developer release notes.

How To Download
This update is available, over-the-air, on iPhone 8 and later as long as the iOS 16 Public Beta option is selected in:
- Settings -> General -> Software Update -> Beta Updates.
- iOS 16.6 Public Beta 5 shows up in Software Update. Tap Download and Install and follow the on-screen prompts.
