Apple has seeded iPadOS 16.2 beta 2 build number 20C5043e for Developers. Public Beta will be rolled out soon! Check out the bugs fixed in this version, the new features as well as any new issues that flared up after updating!

iPadOS 16.2 Beta 2 Issues

New problems reported for this version are mentioned here, together with available workarounds:

  • 1. Can’t delete boards while offline, or when iCloud data is disabled in the new Freeform app
  • 2. Stage Manager with External Display bug when dragging a second window to the workspace. It incorrectly hides the Recent Apps list, shifting all windows in the workspace to the right.

iPadOS 16.2 Beta 2 Bugs Fixed

Problems addressed in this version are highlighted here:

  • 1. TV app play tracking now works for all platforms.
  • 2. Selecting an option from the candidate bar is no longer unresponsive when typing in Chinese Pinyin.

iPadOS 16.2 Beta 2 Download

This update is available, over-the-air, in Settings -> General -> Software Update to all compatible iPads that have the iPadOS 16 Beta Software Profile for Developers.

It will soon be downloadable to Public Beta testers that are signed up with the Apple Beta Software Program.
