iOS 9 Public Beta 3 static Wallpapers.

The most recent Public Beta version of Apple’s 9th mobile OS generation introduces a new range of static wallpapers, or Stills as the developers label them. Curiously, it also removes, the until now considered, default iOS 9 background, the colored wave snapshot. However, we do believe that it will be brought back, just in time, for the official iOS 9 release, scheduled for this fall, most likely in the month of September.

So, if you wish to test drive these backgrounds you have two options: either install the iOS 9 Public Beta 3 version on your device and get the updated wallpapers within the package. Else, if you prefer to wait until the official release, scroll down and download the images. Save them on your iPhone, no matter what iOS version you’re running.

How To Download and Install The iOS 9 Public Beta 3 Wallpapers
Skim the list available above and pick a background that you would like to grab. There are 15 static backgrounds to choose from. Next, follow the steps provided below and you’ll have a new wallpaper for your iOS device, within a few seconds.
Step 1: Tap on the desired image to open the full size view.
Step 2: Press & hold the expanded image until the Save Image option pops-up. Select it and the wallpaper will be stored on your iPhone.
Step 3: Open Photos on your iOS device and browse to the saved image. It should be the last one displayed in the Camera Roll view.
Step 4: Tap the Share Sheets button available in the bottom-left corner of the screen and select Use as Wallpaper.
Step 5: Drag your finger on the screen to frame the background. Pinch to zoom in or out and adjust the picture as you wish. Hit Set when ready and this is how you have a new background on your iPhone!
Repeat the process if you wish to download other backgrounds. Return to Safari and swipe left to get back to this post and select a new image.
Dynamic Wallpapers haven’t changed at the moment. But if they do, be sure that will be sharing them with you as soon as it happens!

Fact: Do mind, that all the wallpapers have big file sizes, around 4MB. This means that downloading all 15 of them would need around 60MB of bandwidth. If you have a limited cellular data plan, perform these downloads only when you’re connected to a Wi-Fi hotspot. This decision will save precious traffic and spare you from additional carrier costs.

Tip: If you don’t have the colored wave iOS 9 trademark wallpaper on your device, you can add it, in a similar way, by downloading it from one of our previous articles.
