Netflix Price Increase 2023
According to a recently released document to its shareholders, the popular streaming platform informs that:
“As we deliver more value to our members, we occasionally ask them to pay a bit more. Starting today, we’re adjusting prices in the US, UK and France. In the US, our ads ($6.99) and our Standard plans ($15.49) will stay the same, while Basic will now be $11.99 and Premium $22.99.”
This accounts with a $2 monthly price hike in the US, respective 2 GBP and 2 EUR extra in the UK and France.
Fact: The only plans that survive this price increase are the basic add-free one that’s not available to new members and the one that comes with ads!
How to Cancel Netflix Membership
Earlier this year Netflix has been cracking down on account sharing, a move that has caused many users to cancel their memberships. The 2023 Netflix price increase ads more fuel to the fire and we expect others to jump ship!
To cancel your Netflix subscriptions proceed as follows:
- 1. Open Safari or any other web browser on iPhone, iPad or Mac.
- 2. Go to Netflix.com and Sign In.
- 3. Open Account Settings, available in the top-right corner of the screen (three-lines).
- 4. Use the Cancel Membership option and follow the on-screen prompts to Finish Cancelation.
Cancel Netflix Membership On Apple TV
You can also cancel your Netflix subscription from the Apple ID section on all your Apple devices.
Go for Settings -> Apple ID -> Subscriptions -> Select Netflix -> Cancel Subscription.
On Apple TV
You can cancel in Settings -> User And Accounts -> Select User -> Subscriptions -> Sign in with Apple Device -> Select Netflix Membership -> Cancel Subscription.
