Do you know that you can take a quick note on Mac? This is a hidden macOS Monterey feature that allows you to make a note from anywhere on your computer. Quick Notes on Mac work the same way as they do on iPad running iOS 15. Instead of swiping you need to use your mouse pointer.
How To Take A Quick Note On Mac
- All that you have to do is move the pointer to the bottom-right corner of the screen!
- A white box labeled New Quick Note slides-in.
- Click it and create your note.
Tip: You can also use the Fn + Q keyboard shortcut to bring up Quick Notes in macOS Monterey!
Quick Notes Not Working On Mac?
Sometimes, only a white corner is displayed. You can still click it though and the Quick Notes interface opens up!
Tip: Just noticed that you have to bring the mouse pointer all the way outside of the bottom-right corner of the screen. You have to continue the move after the pointer is out of sight to bring up the full ‘New Quick Note’ box!
Quick Notes Not Available On Mac?
You’re doing everything correct but the Quick Note feature doesn’t seem to be available? It might be turned Off. Please check the following setting:
Browse for System Preferences -> Mission Control -> Hot Corners and make sure the Quick Note is selected for the bottom-right corner. If it isn’t, select it yourself and click OK.
Quick Notes In Notes
Fact: Quick notes are available across devices. They show up on all your devices that are configured with your Apple ID. Which means that you can take a quick note on Mac and continue to edit it from your iPad or iPhone!
