Apple Music This Song Is Currently Not Available
This issue has been reported by Francesca:
“I’m getting ‘this song is not currently available in your country or region’ although I played it before!”
We couldn’t replicate the problem but have found a similar report on Reddit:
“After playing a song on Homepod, Apple Music says it’s unavailable.”
Song Not Currently Available In Your Region Causes ?
Apparently this error occurs when you try to stream songs from less known artists. Although Apple has an impressive track collection, streaming rights might vary and songs can also be pulled from Apple Music in your country or region.
Important: If you get this error for a known (popular) song or artist, please share it in the comments section. That would be a sign of a more serious Apple Music issue, like temporary downtime.
How To Fix Apple Music Song Not Currently Available Error
If you’re convinced that the track is available in your country or region, you can perform the following troubleshooting steps:
1. Check for Apple Music Outage
Load the Apple System Status page and verify if there’s an ongoing Apple Music issue that might prevent songs from being available!
2. Restart iPhone
If Apple Music is up and running normally, go ahead and reboot your device. A fresh start could flush minor glitches that might prevent songs from streaming properly.
Tip: Use the force restart trick to save time!
3. Try Again Later
Be patient and attempt to play the same song the next day. If the problem persists that specific song might be really not available in your country or region anymore and you’ll have to move on.
