Card not working on Apple Watch

Is your credit card not working on Apple Watch? You’re trying to add it to the Wallet app on the watchOS device but get the ‘You must be signed into iCloud’ error? This happens because, most likely, you’re not signed with your Apple ID on the watch.

Credit Card Not Adding To Apple Watch

I’ve encountered this problem when I had to sign out of my iCloud account on my iPhone. This also causes the paired Apple Watch to log out.

Signing out of your Apple ID causes for all banking cards to be removed from the Wallet app.

This means that you have to re-add them once you sign back in.

However, if you don’t add your credit/debit card to the Apple Watch when you’re prompted by the Wallet app on iPhone you might encounter problems later on.

An ‘You must be signed into iCloud’ error might show up when you try to push a card from the Wallet app on iPhone to its Apple Watch corespondent.

When this happens you’re most likely not signed into iCloud on the watchOS device. Here is what you should do:

Fact: If you’re already signed in with an Apple ID please make sure that it’s the same one that you’re using on the paired iPhone!
