How To Change The Email Address Assigned To Your Apple ID

Posted in How To by Vlad on December 4, 2018

Manage your Apple account

Manage your Apple account.

The first time you start using an Apple product, you’re asked to log-in with an Apple ID. This allows you access to your iCloud account and enables backups, App Store & iTunes purchases as well as syncing between all your Apple devices. If you don’t own an Apple ID you have to create one. In the process you’re asked for an email address, which will be assigned to your Apple ID. You can use one of your existing mail accounts or accept one from Apple’s side.

This mail address will also become your Apple ID username and will be used for communication between you and the Cupertino-based tech giant. If for whatever reason you lose access to the mail account that’s linked to your Apple ID, you have the option to change as long as you’re not using one that’s provided by Apple. Email address provided by Apple end in @icloud.com, @mac.com or @me.com.
