Apple has previewed iOS 17 today, during the WWDC 2023 keynote and we found out that it’s compatible with seven iPhone generations, including iPhone SE 2 and iPhone XR, XS and XS Max.

  • iPhone 8, 8 Plus
  • Fact: Surprisingly, the iPhone X hasn’t made the iOS 17 cut and neither did the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus. That’s because iOS 17 requires an A12 chip or newer!

    More: The oldest iOS 17 supported devices have been released in the fall of 2018 (iPhone XS, XS Max and XR). They will be 5 years old by the time of the iOS 17 public release!
