AirPods 6A300 update is available for AirPods 2, 3, AirPods Pro and AirPods Max, while AirPods Pro 2 get the 6A301 build! This important update comes with new features and improvements! We also track bugs fixes as well as new issues, problems & more!

This firmware refreshes the previous 5E135. It’s available to all AirPod models excepting the original ones which stick to 6.8.8.

AirPods firmware updates are installed automatically. However, you can force the update right now by preforming the following steps:

  • 1. Connect AirPods to charger and allow them to fully charge to 100%.
    Important: Both AirPods and case have to be fully charged!
  • 2. Connect AirPods to iPhone, by opening the lid of the case.
  • 3. Keep the lid open and check Version number. Seeing 6A300?

  • 1. Connect AirPods to iPhone.
  • 2. Open Settings. They should show up at the top of the menu.
  • 3. Tap the [airpods name].
  • 4. Scroll to About and check Version number.
