Hearing Aids Not Connecting To iPhone

Hearing devices were working flawlessly before the iOS 15.6 update but they got disconnected right after? This problem has been reported by Rick:

“After updating to 15.6 my hearing aids ( iPhone compatible) won’t pair with iPhone 12 or iPad Pro.”

We couldn’t replicate it, but I’ve found a similar report on Apple’s discussion forums and other similar websites.

Apparently the hearing aids disconnecting issue isn’t new to iOS 15.6. It’s been reported after iOS 15.4 update and even earlier for iOS 15.0.1.

More, it’s affecting various brands like Signia, Oticon, Phonak, Maihear and more.

How To Fix Hearing Aids Disconnecting From iPhone

Perform the following troubleshooting steps if your hearing aids won’t connect, keep disconnecting or encounter syncing issues with iPhone after iOS 15.6 update:

    • In Settings -> Accessibility -> Hearing Devices -> MFi Hearing Devices -> Forget this device.

    2. Reset Network Settings

    • In Settings -> General -> Transfer or Reset iPhone -> Reset -> Reset Network Settings
    • Fact: You might be able to skip this step, but it will help you reset the Bluetooth module. You will have to reconnect to you Wi-Fi network and input the password, so make sure that you know it before resetting.
