How To Check If iOS 15.7 Is Still Signed?

iOS 15.7 signed ipsws not available
One of the most popular websites tracking the signed status of iOS version is ipsw.me. However, because iOS 15.7 is a supplemental update to iOS 15.6.1, iPhone models compatible with iOS 16 aren’t tracked for iOS 15.7, but for the previous version.

If you check ipsw.me for any iPhone model that’s also iOS 16 compatible you won’t see any reference to iOS 15.7 and might think that the version is unsigned.

iOS 15.6.1 is listed as unsigned, and that’s a fact!

There are two ways to check if iOS 15.7 is still signed:

1. Apple Developer Account

If you own a paid Apple Developer account you will be able to see that the iOS 15.7 IPSW files are still available for download which means that the version is still signed.

2. iPhone Running iOS 15.6.1

Any iPhone that’s iOS 16 compatible (iPhone 8 or later) and still runs iOS 15.6.1 or earlier can show if iOS 15.7 is still signed.

How to: Go to Settings -> General -> Software Update. If you get the iOS 15.7 software update available, with iOS 16 available as an optional update it means that iOS 15.7 is still signed!

How To Downgrade iOS 16.0.2 to iOS 15.7
