Google Search App For iOS And Android Updates With Dark Mode Support
After you download and install the latest version, open the app and you’ll notice that Google search will start synchronizing with the system-wide Dark and Light theme settings, available on your device. Whenever iOS runs the Dark Mode, Google search will use mostly dark colors too. It works similar to all other third-party apps that have already updated with support for Dark Mode.
Trick To Enable Google Search Dark Mode
In most cases the Google search app for iOS syncs automatically. However, similar with Gmail, it can happen that you need to troubleshoot a bit, to make things working as they should. If you update the Google app and the software fails to display the Dark theme, although the Dark Mode is enabled in iOS, you have to force quit and re-open the app.
How To: Swipe-up from the bottom of the screen to bring up the App Switcher.
Fact: Double-click Home button if you own an older iPhone model.
Swipe-up the Google app card until you remove it from the screen. This has closed the app for good. Return to the Home screen and tap the Google app icon to open the search software. You should be getting the Dark Mode now!
