Apple has just released HomePod 14.3 software update for HomePod and HomePod mini. According to the release notes this is a minor update that brings performance improvements and stability improvements.

HomePod 14.3 comes almost 10 days after the release of audioOS 14.2.1 and over one month since the roll out of the 14.2 update, that introduced new Siri and Intercom features.

How To Install HomePod 14.3

Both HomePod and HomePod mini will automatically update to this latest software release. However, this could take a couple of days. You can force the update right now, by applying these steps:

  • 1. Open the Home app on your iPhone or iPad.
  • 2. Tap the House icon, available in the top-left corner of the screen.
  • 3. Scroll for Software Update.
  • 4. Swipe-down from the top of the screen to refresh and search for the new release.
  • 5. Install HomePod 14.3!

HomePod 14.3 New Features

The update log doesn’t mention any specific new feature. However, we’ve notice that handoff from iPhone to HomePod Mini works much more seamlessly since the smartspeaker was updated to this latest release.

HomePod 14.3 Bug Fixes

Siri’s grammar mistakes have been finally fixed in this release. The virtual assistant is now finally able to use the plural form of ‘light’ when it’s required to.
Example: ‘Hey Siri, turn off kitchen lights!’ and the answer is: ‘OK, the kitchen light lights are on!’
