How To Fix CarPlay Stopped Working

1. Reset All Settings

Open Settings and browse for General -> Transfer or Reset iPhone -> Reset -> Reset All Settings.

Tip: Make sure that you know your WiFi password before resetting, you will need it to reconnect to the Internet.

2. Unpair And Re-Pair

Another user confirms that he managed to fix CarPlay not working after applying the following steps:

  • 1. Remove vehicle from the CarPlay settings on iPhone. (Settings -> General -> CarPlay -> Available Cars)
  • 2. Remove iPhone from the car.
  • 3. Reboot iPhone (use the force restart comobo).
  • 4. Re-pair iPhone to car.
  • 5. Toggle with the CarPlay apps and the functionality should start working again on the display. (Try to toggle Google Maps off).
