How To Disable Macro Photos On iPhone 13 Pro In iOS 15.1

Are you looking for a way to disable Macro photos on iPhone 13 Pro? Don’t get me wrong, this is a spectacular iOS 15 feature. However, sometimes it can become annoying. The viewfinder jitters when the camera module automatically switches between wide-angle to ultra-wide angle!

iPhone 13 Pro Macro Photo Facts

By default, iOS 15 is set to automatically switch for Macro mode when an object is detected in the immediate proximity of the iPhone’s camera.

Apple informs that you can shot Macro photos and videos from as close as 2 cm (less than one inch distance). The problem is the distance that causes the Macro mode to be triggered. In some cases Macro mode can kick-in even when you’re not aiming to snap a Macro picture!

How To Disable Macro Photos On iPhone 13 Pro

• 1. Open Settings and tap on Camera.
• 2. Scroll all the way down to Auto Macro.
• 3. Turn it Off using the toggle.

That’s it! You’ve now stopped the iPhone 13 Pro from automatically switching to the Ultra Wide camera to capture macro photos and videos.

Macro Photography Not Available ?

Unfortunately, this is an iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max feature.

iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini and earlier devices won’t display the Auto Macro option in Camera settings.

Tip: If you own a compatible device and Macro mode isn’t triggered, force restart your device and try again!
