How To Turn Off Apple Watch Fully Charged Notification
Last updated on May 10th, 2022 at 10:25 am
Posted in TILs by Mike on October 3, 2021Are you getting the Apple Watch Fully Charged notification on your iPhone every morning since updating to iOS 15? This is not a new watchOS 8 feature, it’s been available since last year, but apparently the new OS versions are enabling it by default.
Apple Watch Battery Fully Charged Notification
Having to dismiss the fully charged notification every morning can become annoying. You have to swipe it left and tap Clear.
However, charging your watch over night guarantees that the Apple Watch battery will be fully charged by the next morning, which makes the morning notification irrelevant!
Turn Off Apple Watch Fully Charged Notification
To disable it proceed as follows:
- 1. Open the Watch app on your iPhone.
- 2. In the My Watch tab, scroll for Sleep.
- 3. Deactivate the Charging Reminders.
Important: You have to configure Sleep tracking first, to be able to get the Charging Reminders option. Don’t worry you can easily turn off Sleep tracking after you configure it, if you don’t want to use the feature!
Fact: This will also disable the Apple Watch battery low notification.
Is the Apple Watch battery full notification also annoying you? Have you managed to turn it off? Use the comments section and share your feedback.

I do not have the screen you show. This wa useless
Have you configured the Sleep tracking option? Once you do you get the Charging Reminders option. You can also easily disable sleep tracking.
This didn’t work at all. I go to My Watch, then to Sleep, and it wants me to set up Sleep in the Health App. That’s the only thing I can click on, and it has nothing to do with batteries at all.
You have to set that up first. When you set it up, just go through the steps and then you can pretty much turn everything off that it’s wanting you to set up. You just can’t get to the charging reminders without setting up Sleep first
Thanks for helping out Katie.
After setting up the sleep screen, i was able to shut off the chime for it being fully charged. It would go off all night telling me it’s fully charged and drive me crazy. This was helpful
You’re welcome. Glad we could help.
Nah it doesn’t work :-(
Can you be more specific. It does work at my end. I might be able to help if you provide more details.
Did the step by step and it didn’t work. It still beeps every few minutes telling me it fully charged.
Did this start happening after an update or only recently. You Apple Watch charger might be malfunctioning.
Will give it a try tonight. Hope this does the trick and thanks for explaining this is due to an update. Wakes me up every night! Thank you!!!
You’re welcome Heather. Waiting for you to confirm if the fix worked.
Charging reminders in sleep was already deactivated, yet the watch chimes relentlessly. Any other suggestions? I had successfully turned the chiming off prior to the latest update, but don’t recall what steps I took. I know it did not involve the sleep function.
Thanks for the feedback. Taking a look at this. Not sure if there’s any other way to stop them. It might be a watchOS 9 bug, which causes the reminders to get triggered even if they’re actually OFF in Settings.
Please try turn On Charging Reminders and turn them back Off, to refresh the setting. Does it help?
I enabled sleep and followed these instructions, I still get the notification.
Thanks for reporting. Yes, this appears to be a bug.
That didn’t do anymore. I already had SLEEP setup. I turned off notifications as suggested. Beep continued…
🤬🤬😡
That didn’t work. I already had SLEEP setup. The beep continued.
Does anyone else have problems with the iphone skipping when you’re typing? Just randomly skipping spaces. Maddening. Above I typed, “That didn’t do anything”, the phone posted “anymore”!!!!
Sorry to hear this. Not sure what else to suggest at the moment. iOS 16.1.1 is now available but I doubt that it will fix this.
I too have the same issue with the constant beeping of the IWatch and I have the latest updates. About ready to ditch the IWatch and go with something else.
Thanks for confirming. It’s been reported. Let’s hope they’ll fix it soon.
It worked! Thank you!! Just went through the setup for “sleep” and hit skip in each section without actually setting up the sleep mode and reached the option to turn off charging notifications! Thank you!
You’re welcome. Thanks for confirming!
Mine and my wife’s still sends notifications even after turning it off.
Are you using the Sleep focus?
I turned off the charge reminder and it continues to make an audible noise/beep when fully charged until I remove it from the charger. This started with the recent IOS update. Every night the beeping wakes me up…very annoying.
Does it help if you bring Watch in Theater Mode in the Control Center, before you charge it?
