iOS 15.6 Beta 4
Apple has released iOS 15.6 Beta 4 with build number 19G5056c. It’s now available for both Developers and Public Beta testers that have the iOS 15 or iPadOS 15 Configuration Profiles installed on their devices.
iOS 15.6 Beta 4 Download
If your device is already enrolled to the iOS 15.6 or iPadOS 15.6 beta program you can update to Beta 4 in Settings -> General -> Software Update.
Tap Download and Install and be patient until the new version is requested, downloaded, prepared, verified and installed.
Tip: If your device runs the public iOS 15.5 version, you need to download the iOS 15 Beta Profile on your device, to be able to get the beta in the Software Update section. This is done from the Apple Beta Software Program website. A step-by-step guide is available here.
iOS 15.6 Beta 4 Features
The Developer release notes don’t mention any new features. Most likely, iOS 15.6 will focus on performance improvements and bug fixes.
All features announced for iOS 15 and iPadOS 15 during WWDC 2021 have been already rolled out by Apple. It could be the last update before the public release of iOS 16 (scheduled for this fall).
More, Apple is already working on the next major release. iOS 16 Beta 2 is available and tested as we speak.
iOS 15.6 Beta 4 Issues
The release notes inform that Apple is aware of a bug regarding Matter accessories:
“The iOS device that initiates pairing needs to be logged in to the same iCloud account as the home hub. Only the owner of a home, not an invited user, can pair Matter accessories. (76012945)”
