It currently ships within 1 business day and is compatible with any model from the iPhone 12 lineup as well as any Apple Watch version ever released.
MagSafe Duo Charger Cost
As already mentioned, this inductive charging accessory combo retails for $129. You can also pay it monthly in twelve chunks of $10.75.
Is this product overpriced?
Apple products aren’t cheap, that’s for sure. However, the Cupertino-based company justifies it’s high prices with premium quality. To asses is the MagSafe Duo Charger is expensive we can breakdown all its components and calculate how much their worth if purchased separately:
1. Standard MagSafe Charger can be purchased from Apple for $39.
2. Apple Watch charger retails for $29.
3. 20W USB-C power adapter for faster wireless charging, up to 11 W. This one is optional because you might already own it and if you don’t you have to buy it in both scenarios.
Fact: Power adapters aren’t shipped in the new iPhone box anymore.
Conclusion: Purchasing the two chargers separately will cost you $58. Compare this with the MagSafe Duo Charger price of $129 and decide whether it’s worth it or not? If you travel a lot you might find it useful to have the two MagSafe chargers combine in a folding case.
MagSafe Duo Charger Only For iPhone 12?
This new combo charger works with every Apple Watch model, because Apple has used the MagSafe technique ever since the original Apple Watch was released back in 2015.
When it comes to the iPhone, only the most recent iPhone 12 lineup is MagSafe compatible. This means that the MagSafe Duo Charger works with the iPhone 12, 12 mini, 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max.
As the standard MagSafe puck the Duo Charger can juice up any Qi compatible device including Apple AirPods, as well as other third-party devices.
Important: Users owning older wireless charging compatible iPhones, report that their devices are charging slower than usual when using the MagSafe puck.
MagSafe Duo Charger Alternatives
